Rugby Union player that made the switch in the US

Terry Price
A dual-code international for Wales winning during the 1960s before signing for the Buffalo Bills in 1971 as a place-kicker, although he did not start a game.
Gavin Hastings
Aside from the infamous 1991 World Cup semi-final, the Scottish full-back was unerringly accurate with the boot but he found the going a lot harder as a kicker for the Scottish Claymores missing four of 27 extra point attempts and a field goal.
Hayden Smith
Remarkably versatile, Smith had already won a basketball scholarship and won the Premiership with Saracens when he moved to the New York Jets. He went on to make five appearances as a tight end, one of the most tactically complex positions, before returning to Saracens in 2013.
Nate Ebner
Represented the USA at the 2007 and 2008 Junior Rugby World Championships before converting to American Football in college. Primarily a special teams player, Ebner won the Super Bowl with the New England Patriots last season.
Jarryd Hayne
A two-time NRL player of the year with the Parramatta Eels who signed for the San Francisco 49ers in March. Impressed in preseason but dropped to the practice squad after playing six NFL matches this year.
